VOICES IN MY HEAD
by Steve Mecca © 2002

Rising from the mire... Of the murkiness of dreams
Everything's a foggy haze... of half forgotten schemes
Enveloped by the ether... Where dimensions overlap
Is this really insight ... or just another trap?
Can you trust the vision... Or watch it dissipate
Fading oh so quickly... Can't afford to wait

Voices call inside my head, awaken me from this half-life
Raise me from the walking dead, bid the wraiths of night goodbye
Remember what's been left unsaid, take the blindfold off my eyes
Walk in moonlight without dread, there can be no compromise

Point of attraction, Power in the now
Crown of creation, apart from the crowd
Eliminate distraction, dismiss it with your mind
Forsake opposing factions, leave them all behind
Focus on a picture, a dream that you hold
Step into the frame, it's your world to mold
Accept no contradiction, regret, fear or doubt
Imagine your future, that's what it's about

Voices call inside my head, awaken me from this half-life
Raise me from the walking dead, lift the veil up from my eyes...

Nothing has been left unsaid, don't believe their subtle lies
To this vision I am wed and there can be no compromise...
