I never thought it would make it into the top 40 without paid advertising. Well, obviously and happily I was wrong!! Wouldn't it be a real trip to see someone you have a #1 song in the mp3.com charts, if even for only a day? To some of you who don't know how mp3.com works, they pay $0.005 per play. Yep, that's a half- a-cent per play. Obvioulsly it's not for the money. There are literally TENS OF THOUSANDS of artists on mp3.com, most of whom are consigned to oblivion. When the Serious Black website is up & running there will be much less concentration on mp3.com as a marketing medium. For now though, there is a chance for an artist you know, or know of in upstate NY to gain a little recognition.. and this just in..."Barbican", the dark ambient Serious Black track is at #35 in the Dark Ambient charts!!
