Serious Black, the electronic goth-industrial project from Elmira, NY has been rocketing up the mp3.com sub-genre charts relentlessly over the last couple of days. With the impending release of the debut full-length CD entitled "Barbican", Serious Black has revived old- school goth-industrial music with a vengeance.
Here are the ranking of the 4 Serious Black tracks posted on Mp3.com so far:
#3-"Barbican" dark ambient chart
#5-"The Garden of Earthly Delights"-electronic cover songs
#14-"Voices In My Head"-electronic industrial
#17-"One Life"-electronic industrial
#51-"Days of Future Past"-love songs
These are the streaming audio charts. Mp3.com changed its policy on charting to separate streaming audio from downloading. At this time Serious Black is not available for downloading. I realize there are some of you out there that due to one factor or another cannot play streaming audio very well and would prefer to download music. (This may open a whole new thread of debate.) Be that as it may, we're sticking with the streaming audio until after the release of "Barbican" during early November. It may be decided to make certain tracks available for download elsewhere. For those of you who still haven't heard the new Serious Back tracks,
Check them out now. (Or play them again, it can't hurt!) Feedback has been great. Here's the link once again- http://www.mp3.com/Serious_Black
